Great looking lures, cast far and has great lateral action when doing a simple retrieve. I use these in the the surf in Southern California and are great for halibut and perch. I use a stop and go retrieve mostly. I wish the beautiful surface coloring would resist being dragged through the sand and rocks. Realistically considering that kind of abuse the coating holds up well.

I’ve used the Colmants Castman Lime Chartreuse jigs on about 10 nearshore charters for sea bass and gag grouper and they’ve been outstanding. Great action in the water, quality hooks, and they flat-out catch fish. We’ve landed a ton on these. Highly recommend.

So far the best striped bass lures for bottom jigging... only issue is I catch so many they take the paint off 😆, but im ok with it if I'm catching so many fish 💯💯 .. Fantastic jig I used them to fish for Spanish Mackerel this summer in the Gulf absolutely wore the fish out.
Plus they held to the teeth.
I highly recommend these jigs.

Tossing this at breaking birds of Rhode Island a few weeks ago . First week in October. Caught seabass , tog , Bluefish and a few albies

Just wanted to let you know—I gave my brother some of those Castman lures. He was fishing off Jeanette’s Pier, and the surf and water conditions hadn’t been great for the past month, going back about four weeks.

Long story short: he was still catching fish while others weren’t.

The bait sells itself, my friend. So far, he’s caught trout, pompano, blues, Spanish mackerel, drum, yellowfin jack (or something close), and pinfish on Castman lures out here.

Love this lures for my inshore rock cod fishing on the West coast. Good action causing a variety of fish to hit. The skipper on the boat I was fishing on saw how many fish I was landing and had to give him some to use. My orders are usually filled the same day I order them, they are packed with care and there are a variety of colors and styles to choose from. You won't go wrong buying this lures from this company.

I use these on the bottom of my SABIKI rigs for Atlantic mackerel . They work awesome definitely an increase in mackerel immediately. Also i've used them on blitzing striper and albi's with really good success . This weekend I'll be in Rhode Island and im sure weakfish and black seabass will inhale these jigs . My favorite is the lime green. As a charter captain in need stuff that works and is affordable. Pink and blue match the herring fry hatch perfectly

2nd time out with them, took a trip to the obx just before hurricane erin stirred up the surf, the shimmer blue and pink and blue was the color of the day, jigging wasn't too productive, a fast steady retrieve casted just past the 1st bar was the ticket, long casts and good action on both the 40 and 60, both did a number on the Spanish and went about 50/50 on bluefish, only reason it's not 5 stars is the hooks were just a little small for the bluefish and i prefer singles on a jig, ill have to do some experiments with what hook sizes I can get away with without affecting the action, overall will be buying more

I cast this lure and had hits as soon as it hit the water! The lady fish and gar were loving it.

Grandson hooked up on a nice spec with a nebula c-strike in a gut on a falling tide in late afternoon. Water was about 4' deep, fairly clear (not a lot of suspended solids) & surface was bathwater hot. It casts a mile, is responsive & easy to work. Definitely keeping it in the primary box.

The CastMan lures have been very effective in Baja for me casting or jigging

1st time buying the Castman and it didn’t disappoint. Love the action as do the many bonito I caught. Hoping the false albacore will find it irresistible too. Great lure

Work good for vertical jigging lake trout. 20g will get you 60-70 ft, 40g covers deeper. Technique was simple, they hammer these baits.
